     smooth - obsolete routine

FORTRAN 77 SPECIFICATION
     subroutine smooth(mode)
     integer*4 mode

PARAMETERS
     mode   expects 1 to turn on antialiasing or 0 to turn it off.

DESCRIPTION
     This routine is obsolete.  Although it continues to function to provide
     backwards compatibility, all new development should use its identical
     replacement, linesm.
