NAME LOGICAL - Converts between kinds of logical SYNOPSIS LOGICAL ([L=]l [,[KIND=]kind]) IMPLEMENTATION UNICOS, UNICOS/mk, and IRIX systems STANDARDS Fortran 90 DESCRIPTION The LOGICAL intrinsic function converts between kinds of logical. It accepts the following arguments: l Must be of type logical kind Must be a scalar integer initialization expression LOGICAL is an elemental function. The name of this intrinsic cannot be passed as an argument. RETURN VALUES The result type is logical. If kind is present, the kind type parameter is that specified by kind; otherwise, the kind type parameter is that of default logical. The value is that of l. EXAMPLES LOGICAL(L .OR. .NOT. L) has the value true and is of type default logical, regardless of the kind type parameter of the logical variable l.
