amtickerd - system uptime monitor daemon

As shipped in IRIX 6.5. First release of IRIX 6.5.

NAME
amtickerd - system uptime monitor daemon

SYNOPSIS
     /usr/etc/amtickerd tickfile tickduration

DESCRIPTION
amtickerd records system uptime in tickfile every tickduration seconds.
This information is used to estimate uptime in the case of a system hang.
amtickerd is enabled by the config flag tickerd (see amconfig(1M)). The
normal call made on reboot is

          amtickerd /var/adm/avail/lasttick 300

If the config value statusinterval is not zero, amtickerd will send
     status reports every statusinterval days.
