NAME
     conv_alias - convert MediaMail aliases to Netscape Address Book

SYNOPSIS
     /usr/local/lib/netscape/conv_alias


DESCRIPTION
     conv_alias reads $HOME/.zmailrc for MediaMail aliases and adds any new
     aliases to user's Netscape Address Book.  If the alias already exists in
     the Address Book as a user or list, the alias will not be added and a
     message will be printed.

     conv_alias does not alter $HOME/.zmailrc, but does directly update
     $HOME/.netscape/address-book.html.  Therefore, Netscape should not be
     running when you run conv_alias. If it is running, the user will be asked
     to quit Netscape.  A backup copy of the Address Book is taken before any
     modifications are done ($HOME/address-book.html.original or
     $HOME/address-book.html.nn).

     Since Netscape Address Book entries are typically more descriptive than
     MediaMail aliases, after conv_alias is run, it is recommended that the
     user go into the Address Book and at minimum, update the "Name" field.
