NAME SECONDR - Returns elapsed wall-clock time in seconds SYNOPSIS All systems: REAL (KIND=8) SECONDR time=SECONDR( ) UNICOS systems: CALL SECONDR(time) IMPLEMENTATION UNICOS, UNICOS/mk, and IRIX systems DESCRIPTION On IRIX systems, this routine is in libffio.so which is linked by default when compiling programs with the MIPSpro 7 Fortran 90 compiler or when compiling programs with the -craylibs option to the MIPSpro F77 compiler. SECONDR can be called several times during the execution of a program to determine the amount of elapsed wall-clock time. time is the real-time clock values in floating-point seconds. If the value of the real-time clock exceeds 48 bits, some accuracy may be lost during the conversion to float. The argument must be of type real with KIND=8. On UNICOS/mk systems, the real-time clocks on processing elements are not synchronized with each other. Therefore, a SECONDR() value should not be compared to a previous SECONDR() taken on a different processing element. EXAMPLES This example calculates the elapsed wall-clock time from the first call to SECONDR until the second call to SECONDR.
