NAME MIN, MIN0, AMIN1, DMIN1, QMIN1, MIN1, AMIN0 - Returns minimum values SYNOPSIS CF90 and MIPSpro 7 Fortran 90: MIN0 ([A1=]a1, [A2=]a2 [,[A3=]a3] ... ) AMIN1 ([A1=]a1, [A2=]a2 [,[A3=]a3] ... ) DMIN1 ([A1=]a1, [A2=]a2 [,[A3=]a3] ... ) QMIN1 ([A1=]a1, [A2=]a2 [,[A3=]a3] ... ) MIN1 ([A1=]a1, [A2=]a2 [,[A3=]a3] ... ) AMIN0 ([A1=]a1, [A2=]a2 [,[A3=]a3] ... ) STANDARDS Fortran 95 QMIN1 is a CF90 and MIPSpro 7 Fortran 90 compiler extension to FORTRAN 77 and Fortran 95. DESCRIPTION The MIN, MIN0, AMIN1, DMIN1, QMIN1, MIN1, and AMIN0 intrinsic functions find minimum values. MIN is the generic name; the others are specifics. They accept the following arguments: a1, a2, a3, ... The arguments must be all of type real or all of type integer. These are elemental intrinsic functions. The names of these intrinsics cannot be passed as arguments. RETURN VALUES The result type and type parameter are the same as the arguments. The value of the result is that of the smallest argument. EXAMPLES MIN(-9.0, 7.0, 2.0) has the value -9.0.
