checkPassword - confirm a user password

NAME checkPassword - confirm a user password SYNOPSIS /usr/sysadm/privbin/checkPassword -l login-name DESCRIPTION checkPassword is used to confirm a password for a particular user account. The password is supplied via stdin so that it is not visible on the process command line. The checkPassword command has the following required parameter: -l login-name The login name of the user account whose password is being checked. DIAGNOSTICS If the login name is invalid or the password supplied via stdin is invalid, checkPassword will terminate with a non-zero exit code.
