NAME qsort - quick sort SYNOPSIS subroutine qsort (array, len, isize, compar) external compar integer*2 compar DESCRIPTION One dimensional array contains the elements to be sorted. len is the number of elements in the array. isize is the size of an element. The following sizes are normally used: 4 for integer and real 8 for double precision or complex 16 for double complex (length of character object) for character arrays compar is the name of a user supplied integer*2 function that determines the sorting order. This function is called with 2 arguments that are elements of array. The function returns the following: negative if arg1 is considered to precede arg2 zero if arg1 is equivalent to arg2 positive if arg1 is considered to follow arg2 On return, the elements of array are sorted. NOTES len and isize must be representable in an integer*4 even though the C library function qsort will accept 64-bit values for the arguments in 64 bit mode. Therefore, these arguments must be integer*4. FILES /usr/ucb/lib/libU77.a /usr/lib/libU77.a SEE ALSO qsort(3)
