getope - returns the identifier of the currently open object

NAME
     getope - returns the identifier of the currently open object

FORTRAN 77 SPECIFICATION
     integer*4 function getope()

PARAMETERS
     none

FUNCTION RETURN VALUE
     The returned value of this function is the object identifier of the
     currently open object.  If no object is now open, the returned value is
     -1.

DESCRIPTION
     getope returns the number of the object that is currently open for
     editing.

NOTE
     This routine is available only in immediate mode.
