NAME CLASET - initialize a 2-D array A to BETA on the diagonal and ALPHA on the offdiagonals SYNOPSIS SUBROUTINE CLASET( UPLO, M, N, ALPHA, BETA, A, LDA ) CHARACTER UPLO INTEGER LDA, M, N COMPLEX ALPHA, BETA COMPLEX A( LDA, * ) IMPLEMENTATION These routines are part of the SCSL Scientific Library and can be loaded using either the -lscs or the -lscs_mp option. The -lscs_mp option directs the linker to use the multi-processor version of the library. When linking to SCSL with -lscs or -lscs_mp, the default integer size is 4 bytes (32 bits). Another version of SCSL is available in which integers are 8 bytes (64 bits). This version allows the user access to larger memory sizes and helps when porting legacy Cray codes. It can be loaded by using the -lscs_i8 option or the -lscs_i8_mp option. A program may use only one of the two versions; 4-byte integer and 8-byte integer library calls cannot be mixed. PURPOSE CLASET initializes a 2-D array A to BETA on the diagonal and ALPHA on the offdiagonals. ARGUMENTS UPLO (input) CHARACTER*1 Specifies the part of the matrix A to be set. = 'U': Upper triangular part is set. The lower triangle is unchanged. = 'L': Lower triangular part is set. The upper triangle is unchanged. Otherwise: All of the matrix A is set. M (input) INTEGER On entry, M specifies the number of rows of A. N (input) INTEGER On entry, N specifies the number of columns of A. ALPHA (input) COMPLEX All the offdiagonal array elements are set to ALPHA. BETA (input) COMPLEX All the diagonal array elements are set to BETA. A (input/output) COMPLEX array, dimension (LDA,N) On entry, the m by n matrix A. On exit, A(i,j) = ALPHA, 1 <= i <= m, 1 <= j <= n, i.ne.j; A(i,i) = BETA , 1 <= i <= min(m,n) LDA (input) INTEGER The leading dimension of the array A. LDA >= max(1,M).
