cproj(3M)

cproj, cprojf, cprojl - functions that compute a projection onto the Riemann sphere

Showing IRIX 6.5.30 (default release). Added in IRIX 6.5.19.

NAME
     cproj, cprojf, cprojl - functions that compute a projection onto the
     Riemann sphere

SYNOPSIS
     #include <complex.h>

     double complex cproj(double complex z);
     float complex cprojf(float complex z);
     long double complex cprojl(long double complex z);

DESCRIPTION
     These routines are not available for programs compiled with the O32
     ABI.

     These routines are not available in the libm43 library. Functions in
     the standard math library (libm.a) are referred to as -lm versions.
     Those in the libmx library (libmx.a) are referred to as -lmx versions,
     and those in the the BSD math library (libm43.a) are referred to as
     -lm43 versions.

     These functions compute a projection of z onto the Riemann sphere. z
     projects to z except that all complex infinites (even those with one
     infinite part and one NaN part) project to positive infinity on the
     real axis. If z has an infinite part, then cproj(z) is equivalent to:

          INFINITY + I * copysign(0.0, cimag(z))

     Otherwise, cproj(z) equals z.
