NAME nfsdctl - control parameters of IRIX NFS server SYNOPSIS nfsdctl -e [programs...] nfsdctl -d [programs...] nfsdctl -t <address> DESCRIPTION nfsdctl is used to control various parameters of IRIX NFS server. With -e and -d options it controls the the way kernel NFS server processes RPC. On Irix kernel NFS server can process RPC for the following programs: NFS(100003), NLM(100021), and XATTR(391063). Starting from Irix 6.5.25, on boot all programs are disabled. On startup nfsd enables NFS and XATTR, rpc.lockd enables NLM. nfsdctl can be used to disable and enable each program independently or all of them together: -e enables a program, -d disables it. If no program name or number is specified then all three programs are enabled or disabled depending on the option used. Any arguments except -e or -d are treated as if they are program names or program numbers and only the specified programs are enabled or disabled, state for the other programs is left unchanged. With -t option nfsdctl can disconnect TCP connections which terminate at the specified address. Address can be specified either as a symbolic name which could be resolved to an address or as a numerical address in dotted quads for IPv4 or colon-separated list for IPv6. This option is used with Failsafe to aid resource failover after an IP alias has been removed. OPTIONS -e enable program -d disable program -t address disconnect TCP connections which terminate at the specified address.
