NAME ipxlink - Link ipx streams driver to Link Layer SYNOPSIS ipxlink [-dev device-name] [-snid SNID] [-type DESCRIPTION ipxlink is used to configure the ipx streams driver by linking it to the appropriate network link interface driver. OPTIONS -devdevice-name The name of the IPX device to use for the link. This device must have the same major number as the minor number of the IPX driver ( /dev/ipx ), and a minor number less than 4. The default device is /dev/lnkipx0 . -snidSNID The subnetwork identifier (SNID) for the network link layer driver. This value should match that set for the link layer interface in the /etc/config/snetd.options file. For example, if using the ethernet interface ec0, the value of SNID should match that assigned to LL_SET_SNID on the line starting with 'llc2 ec0'. The default value is B . -type[ethernet_8023|ethernet_8022|ethernet_ii] The frame type of the ethernet network on which the NetWare network resides. If this option is not specified, ipxlink will attempt to auto-detect the frame type. FILES /etc/config/snetd.options Describes the configuration of the STREAMS network constructed by snetd. SEE ALSO dlpi(7), ipx(7M), snetd(1M), snetd.options(4) NOTES The DLPI network daemon (snetd) must be properly configured and running for the desired network interface in order for ipxlink to work correctly. The ipx driver must be loaded with the correct major device number before running ipxlink.
