NAME hafence - CXFS cluster I/O fencing administration SYNOPSIS hafence [ option ... ] DESCRIPTION The hafence utility is used to administer the CXFS I/O fencing configuration stored in the CXFS cluster database. Note that users would normally configure I/O fencing (as part of initial node definition) via the CXFS GUI or cmgr command, as described in the CXFS Version 2 Software Installation and Administration Guide. Use of hafence is restricted to users with the CAP_SYSINFO_MGT capability. The -q and -v (verbose) options query the status of all configured Fibre Channel Switches and display port types, port status and HBA World Wide Numbers (WWNs). To define one or more switches in the CXFS cluster database, use the following command syntax: hafence -a -s myswitch -u user -p password -m mask where myswitch is the hostname or IP address of the switch (the ethernet interface for myswitch can be plugged into either the private or public network for your cluster, but must be accessible to all nodes in the cluster), user is the username for telnet access to myswitch (factory setting for Brocade is admin), password is the password (factory setting is password), and mask is the port mask (see CXFS Version 2 Software Installation and Administration Guide), typically 0. OPTIONS Hafence takes the following options: -h print usage -q query switch status (default) -v verbose query: report status of all ports (implies -q) -a add/change a switch in cdb (requires -s, -p and -u) -s switch specify switch hostname for -a, -m, -p and -d -u username change saved user name in cdb for switch (requires -s) -p passwd change saved password in cdb for switch (requires -s) -m mask change saved mask (hex, default 0) in cdb for switch (requires -s) -d delete switch in cdb (requires -s) -U update cdb for calling machine -r host raise I/O fence for host -l host lower I/O fence for host -S switch show database entries for switch -V show database entries for all switches SEE ALSO cms_failconf(1m).
