NAME mmkmf - create a Makefile from an Imakefile SYNOPSIS /usr/Motif-2.1/bin/mmkmf [ -a ] [ -32|-o32|-n32|-64 ] [ -mips2|-mips3|-mips4 ] VERSION This version of mmkmf will generate a Makefile that will use Motif 2.1. To generate a Motif 1.2 Makefile use /usr/Motif- 1.2/bin/mmkmf. DESCRIPTION The mmkmf command is the normal way to create a Motif specific Makefile from an Imakefile shipped with third-party software. When invoked with no arguments in a directory containing an Imakefile, the imake program is run with arguments appropriate for your system (configured into mmkmf when Motif was built) and generates a Makefile. When invoked with the -a option, mmkmf builds the Makefile in the current directory, and then automatically executes ``make Makefiles'' (in case there are subdirectories) and ``make includes'' for you. The options -32, -o32, -n32 and -64 control the MIPS ABI used, while -mips2, -mips3 and -mips4 control the MIPS Instruction Set Architecture. If no ABI or ISA is given, the environment variable SGI_ABI is examined and if this is unset then -n32 is assumed. BUILD ENVIRONMENT To check which version of Motif a Makefile will use, the commands % grep XmVersion Makefile # ** XmVersion ** Motif 2.1 Generated Makefile ** will help. FILES /usr/Motif-2.1/bin/mmkmf Create a Motif 2.1 Makefile from an Imakefile. /usr/Motif-2.1/lib/X11/config Motif 2.1 specific Imake config files. SEE ALSO imake(1), xmkmf(1) cc(1)
